SEO Content Writer

Position Overview

Ecosa is looking for a motivated and skilled SEO Content Writer to join our growing SEO team. As an SEO Content Writer, your main responsibility is to write high-quality content for the Ecosa websites and blog, with a focus on maximizing search engine rankings, user engagement and driving conversions.

You will work directly with the SEO Manager based in Melbourne, and also collaborate with other departments, such as Design and IT, to ensure the Ecosa blog is optimized for both search engines and users.

Key Responsibilities

• Write clear, compelling, and engaging content for Ecosa blogs and other digital platforms, that is optimized for both search engines and users
• Perform in-depth competitor analysis and keyword research to uncover relevant article topics
• Utilize AI tools like ChatGPT to generate content ideas, outlines, first drafts, reviews and optimization
• Ensure that all content produced is informative, engaging and relevant to the Ecosa brand
• Create content calendars to schedule and plan articles ahead of time
• Update existing articles to improve their readability and ranking in search results
• Create optimized metadata that improves click-through rates in search results for articles
• Stay up-to-date with SEO trends and content marketing strategies to ensure that content is always relevant, optimized and best-in-class against competitors
• Analyze content performance using Google Analytics and Google Search Console to understand which content is performing or underperforming

Required Qualifications

• 3+ year’s proven work experience writing optimized content for search engines and users (attachments or links to published articles is required)
• Proven experience using SEO tools like Ahrefs or SEMrush to perform keyword research and competitor analysis
• Proven experience using WordPress plugins like Yoast, Rank Math, All In One SEO etc. to write optimized meta titles and meta descriptions
• Proven experience using WordPress, especially editing and publishing blog posts
• Proven experience using ChatGPT or other AI tools to generate content ideas, outlines, first drafts, reviews and optimization
• Proven experience writing optimized body content, headings and subheadings for search engines and users
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow processes and suggest ideas for process improvement
• Proficiency using Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Drive
• Fluent English written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision and still achieve deadlines
• Strong communication skills and professionalism when interacting with colleagues and management

Desirable Qualifications

• Proficiency using Google Analytics and Google Search Console
• A desire to upskill and continuously learn would be highly regarded
