Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated SEO/SEM Manager to take the lead in developing and executing both SEO strategies and SEM campaigns. This role will focus heavily on SEO while managing an SEM Specialist to ensure all paid marketing efforts are optimized for performance. You will be responsible for generating new business leads, optimizing ad performance, managing budgets, and maximizing ROI across all channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SEO Strategy: Lead and develop the SEO roadmap, focusing on enhancing organic search performance, increasing visibility, and improving site rankings.
  • SEM Management: Oversee the SEM Specialist and ensure paid digital marketing campaigns (Google Ads, Bing Ads, etc.) are executed efficiently and optimized for performance.
  • Campaign Execution: Design and implement SEO/SEM strategies that align with business objectives, including driving new leads, boosting engagement, and increasing conversions.
  • Lead Generation: Drive new business through innovative SEO and SEM strategies, ensuring continuous improvement in the acquisition pipeline.
  • Budget Management: Manage and allocate budgets effectively, ensuring maximum ROI from both organic and paid marketing efforts.
  • Performance Optimization: Use analytics and data-driven insights to continuously track and improve campaign performance across all channels.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure SEO best practices are embedded across all digital efforts.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Provide detailed monthly reports on performance, budgets, and key KPIs whilst identifying areas of opportunity for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as an SEO/SEM Manager or in a similar role, with a strong focus on SEO.
  • Experience managing and optimizing PPC campaigns (Google Ads, Bing Ads, etc.).
  • Experience with Content Management Systems and E-Commerce Platforms (To manage content and optimise product listings for search engines). Background or knowledge about the OpenCart platform is an advantage but is not required.
  • Strong knowledge of Technical SEO, which includes site architecture, URL, structure, resolving indexing issues, etc..
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO tools and platforms (Google Analytics, SEMrush, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of data analysis, web analytics, and performance metrics.
  • Experience managing budgets and ensuring campaigns are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of the department’s success.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate with internal teams and manage the SEM Specialist.
  • Industry Knowledge: While not essential, knowledge of the Australian pharmacy industry would be highly advantageous.
