Search Engine Optimization Specialist

FUNCTION OF THE DEPARTMENT & MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

We are seeking an experienced SEO and Content Specialist to join our marketing team. This role is essential for increasing our online visibility, driving organic traffic, and enhancing brand awareness through high-quality, optimized content. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of SEO best practices and a talent for creating compelling, high-ranking content.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, implement, and optimize SEO strategies to improve website rankings, increase organic traffic, and enhance user engagement.
• Conduct comprehensive keyword research and identify opportunities for content optimization.
• Create, edit, and manage high-quality content, including blog posts, articles, landing pages, and website copy, ensuring it aligns with SEO best practices and brand voice.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute content marketing campaigns.
• Monitor and analyze website analytics, search engine rankings, and traffic trends to inform and adjust SEO and content strategies.
• Perform regular SEO audits, on-page, and off-page optimization, and implement improvements.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, Google algorithm updates, and SEO best practices.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz).
• Strong understanding of on-page and off-page SEO strategies.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and content management systems (especially WordPress).
• Experience with keyword research, link-building strategies, and SEO analytics.

Content Skills:

• Exceptional writing and editing skills with an ability to produce engaging and SEO-optimized content.
• Strong understanding of content marketing and user experience principles.
• Ability to adapt writing style and tone to suit different target audiences and platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing
• 3+ years’ of experience
• Strong analytical skills
• Understanding of all search engines and functions as well as marketing
