ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be responsible for creating and implementing SEO strategies that will improve our SEO performance across our websites.
Reporting to the Website Manager under the Marketing Department managed by the Marketing Manager, you will ultimately work closely with our Web Developers, other SEO Specialists, Web Content Writers.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
On-page SEO & Technical Optimization:
- Conduct in-depth SEO audits and work with web developers to optimize site health, speed, and overall SEO performance across multiple websites.
- Develop and implement strategies that drive organic growth and improve search rankings.
- Conduct advanced keyword research to refine content and marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with content teams to optimize blogs, landing pages, and website copy for search engines while maintaining brand voice and readability.
- Manage structured data implementation (Schema Markup) to enhance search visibility.
- Write and optimize metadata, headlines, and other key SEO elements for maximum impact.
- Monitor crawl errors, indexing issues, and Core Web Vitals, ensuring all technical SEO aspects are up to date.
Off-page SEO & Link Building
- Develop and execute scalable link-building strategies to improve domain authority.
- Identify and secure high-quality backlink opportunities through guest posting, partnerships, and outreach.
- Collaborate with content teams to create link-worthy assets that attract authoritative links.
Local SEO Optimization:
- Manage and optimize Google My Business (GMB) listings and other local directories.
- Monitor and respond to online reviews, ensuring strong local SEO performance.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth competitor analysis, identifying their strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for outranking them.
- Track and report on SEO performance, including keyword rankings, traffic trends, and backlink profiles.
- Stay updated with search engine algorithm changes and recommend strategic adjustments.
- Diagnose website performance issues and implement data-driven improvements.
ESSENTIAL – you must possess these skills
Experience & Expertise
- 4+ years of hands-on SEO experience, with at least 2-3 years in a dedicated SEO role.
- Proven track record of managing and optimizing large-scale e-commerce websites (highly valued).
- Deep understanding of search engine algorithms, indexability, crawling, and ranking factors.
Technical SEO & Tool Proficiency
- Strong experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), Microsoft Bing Webmaster Tools, and Google Data Studio.
- Working knowledge of HTML & CSS to troubleshoot and implement SEO recommendations.
- Experience implementing structured data (Schema Markup) and optimizing for Core Web Vitals.
Strategic & Analytical Mindset
- Strong ability to translate complex SEO data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
- Experience conducting keyword research, backlink analysis, and competitor audits to refine SEO strategies.
- Ability to develop and execute SEO reporting dashboards to track performance and KPIs.
Content & On-Page Optimization
- Experience optimizing WordPress websites and collaborating with content teams to improve SEO performance.
- Strong understanding of high-quality vs. low-quality backlinks and link-building best practices.
Soft Skills & Work Ethic
- Highly motivated, proactive, and results-driven with a passion for SEO.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with developers and content writers to implement SEO best practices.
- Strong process adherence – follows structured workflows and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with developers, writers, and marketing teams to implement SEO best practices.
KPI – your performance will be based on meeting KPIs for:
- Site Health – Maintaining strong Ahrefs site scores.
- Page Speed – Optimizing Google PageSpeed Insights performance.
- Organic Growth – Increasing search traffic and leads.
- Link Building – Securing high-quality backlinks.
- Keyword Rankings – Improving target keyword positions.
- Efficiency & Quality – Completing tasks on time while maintaining standards.
