Job Description:
As an SEO & Digital Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for maximizing organic traffic, Google Maps visibility, and inbound leads across all service areas. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end SEO — from technical optimization, to Google Business Profile management, to content creation and local authority building.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an SEO & Digital Marketing Specialist, with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns.
- 3+ years proven experience with SEO, preferably in local/home services industries
- Deep knowledge of Google Maps ranking factors and GBP optimization
- Strong background in keyword research, on-page SEO, and content strategy
- Familiarity with technical SEO and site auditing tools (Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog)
- Experience building local citations and backlinks
- Strong copywriting skills (blogs, service pages, GBP posts)
- Data-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize and manage multiple Google Business Profiles across all markets
- Ensure categories, services, descriptions, hours, and photos are accurate and keyword-rich
- Post weekly updates/offers on GBP to drive engagement
- Generate and respond to reviews consistently (volume + keyword relevance)
- Monitor GBP Insights to track visibility, calls, and directions
- Conduct keyword research specific to each service (air ducts, chimneys, dryer vents, insulation, etc.) and service area (Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, etc.)
- Create and optimize service pages (one per service) and location pages (one per city/area)
- Apply on-page best practices: title tags, headers, meta descriptions, alt text, schema
- Ensure internal linking structure supports local SEO and crawlability
- Regularly update content to maintain rankings
- Build a blog/content calendar with FAQ-based articles and seasonal content (ex: “Best time to clean your chimney”)
- Write and publish customer-focused guides to capture organic traffic and educate homeowners
- Repurpose content for use in Google Posts and social platforms
- Monitor and improve site speed, Core Web Vitals, and mobile responsiveness
- Ensure clean site structure, indexability, and fix crawl errors via Google Search Console
- Manage sitemaps, robots.txt, redirects, and broken links
- Build and maintain consistent NAP citations across major directories (Yelp, BBB, Angi, Houzz, etc.)
- Acquire local backlinks through sponsorships, partnerships, press, and guest posts
- Monitor online mentions and reputation management
- Track traffic, keyword rankings, GBP performance, and conversions (calls, forms, booked jobs)
- Report weekly and monthly performance to leadership team
- Provide actionable recommendations for continuous growth

Successful candidates for this role will be rewarded with the following benefits:
- A total of five paid vacation days per year (additional days can be taken unpaid).
- A 5% raise per year guaranteed (additional raises or bonuses may be given for outstanding performance).
- A paid 15-minute break for every 4 hours of work.
- Healthcare benefits after 2 months of full-time work.
* Vacation days increase by 1 vacation day per year. I.e. after one year of work, the total paid vacation days on year 2 would be six, on year 3 seven, etc.
