SEO Specialist

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and execute on-page SEO (meta tags, internal linking, schema, technical fixes).

• Build high-quality backlinks through ethical outreach and digital PR.

• Manage and optimize Google Business Profile (GBP) for local rankings.

• Coordinate with content/social teams to keep messaging consistent and on-brand.

• Track performance and report results with clear recommendations.

DAY-TO-DAY TASKS (CORE)

• Backlinks: Prospect, qualify, and acquire links; maintain outreach tracker; monitor toxic links.

• Google Business Profile Posts: Publish weekly posts, add photos, manage Q&A, and optimize categories/services.

• Social Media Posts (FB, Instagram, etc.): Coordinate posting calendar; repurpose blog/GBP content; write short captions and CTAs.

• Keyword Research: Build/refresh keyword maps; identify intent, difficulty, and opportunities by location/service.

• Competitor Analysis: Monitor top competitors’ keywords, content, backlinks, and GBP tactics; suggest counter-moves.

REQUIREMENTS

• 1+ years of SEO experience (local SEO experience preferred).

• Solid grasp of keyword research, on-page SEO, link building, and GBP optimization.

• Comfortable with GA4, Google Search Console, and basic technical SEO (sitemaps, crawl issues, page speed).

• Strong copy/editing skills for titles, meta, and short-form posts.

• Data-driven mindset; can turn metrics into action items.

• Excellent communication and documentation.
  

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with restoration/home-services niches (or similar local-service industries).

• Familiarity with GoHighLevel, WordPress/Elementor, and basic HTML/CSS.

• Knowledge of LSA/GMB synergy and review-generation tactics.
