SEO Strategist

Salary: $8-10/hr

We’re a boutique web design and SEO studio that partners with service-based businesses across the U.S.—from local brands to growing online businesses. We’re currently looking for a detail-oriented, self-sufficient SEO Strategist to join our team on a part-time basis.

This is a remote, contractor role with flexible hours, though availability during Eastern Time (ET) is preferred for smoother collaboration. You’ll work across a handful of active projects each month, helping us stay ahead of timelines, manage deliverables, and improve internal communication. * 10-20 Hours a Week & Weekly Payments – the hours will grow and position can become full-time with right candidate

*****What You’ll Be Doing:
-Putting together a SEO strategy and SEO keyword research
-Managing SEO projects from start to finish (from onboarding to hand-off)
-Creating and maintaining project timelines and deliverable checklists
-Providing weekly updates and status reports to the internal team
-Communicating with clients in a clear, confident, and kind tone (email + occasional Loom videos)
-Joining client calls when needed to discuss project updates or answer SEO questions
-Coordinating with our technical SEO team to complete audits, fixes, and site tasks
-Performing on-page SEO optimizations (titles, meta descriptions, content edits, interlinking, etc.)
-Can write clear, concise SEO-friendly content when needed (meta tags, headings, brief updates, etc.)
-Uploading and optimizing geo-tagged images and adding alt text
– Assembling final SEO deliverables and reports
– Taking ownership of task follow-through and keeping nothing “in limbo”

*****Ideal Candidate:
-2+ years experience in SEO (agency or freelance)
-Strong grasp of on-page SEO and keyword strategy
-Familiar with tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, Ubersuggest, or similar
-Experience using WordPress, Squarespace, Showit, or basic website CMS platforms
-Strong written English communication skills (professional but personable)
-Comfortable on Zoom or Loom and able to hop on client calls when needed
-Highly organized, proactive, and solution-oriented
-Able to work independently and meet deadlines without needing reminders

-Have experience working with creative businesses or local service providers
-Are comfortable with light copywriting or editing
– Enjoy bringing structure to chaos and keeping everyone on the same page
