SEO Writer

Shopee is hiring an AI-driven SEO Writer to execute high-volume, AI-assisted content production designed for search experimentation and AI/LLM visibility.

This role is 70% execution, 15% ideation, 15% reporting and tracking.

You will not just write – you will operate AI tools, refine outputs, systematize writing patterns that LLMs can extract, and execute structured content experiments at speed. This role is ideal for someone who understands how AI generates content and knows how to guide, edit, and optimize content for search performance.

You will work closely with the Regional SEO Content Specialist, who leads strategy and experimentation. Your focus will be on execution excellence within testing frameworks.

Job Description AI-Led Content Execution

• Generate, refine, and scale long-form and landing page content using AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.).
• Edit AI-generated drafts to meet structured content frameworks and LLM-extractable formats.
• Apply prescribed search intent, keyword focus, and testing methodologies to each piece.
• Optimize landing pages, blog articles, meta tags, and internal linking.
• Adapt tone and structure based on the Regional Content SOP and market nuances (US/UK English).
• Publish content via WordPress and CMS platforms.
• Ensure content meets quality standards while maintaining speed for rapid testing cycles.
• Structure content clearly for AI search visibility (featured snippets, entity clarity, semantic relevance).

Experimentation & Brainstorming

• Contribute ideas for new content topics and AI-search visibility strategies.
• Spot search trends and propose testable content angles aligned with intent clusters.
• Collaborate with the Regional SEO Content Specialist to refine content testing frameworks.
• Suggest improvements to prompt structures and scalable writing systems.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

• Support bi-weekly and monthly content reporting when needed.
• Track performance indicators (rankings, traffic signals, AI appearances).
• Document experiment outcomes and content adjustments when required.
• Provide insights on AI-output quality and optimization learnings.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in long-form or SEO-focused writing
• Strong command of American and/or British English (writing, editing, grammar)
• Active, hands-on user of AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.) integrated into daily workflow
• Ability to generate, refine, and significantly improve AI-generated drafts
• Comfortable producing high-volume content within structured testing frameworks
• Understands search intent and basic SEO principles (entities, keywords, internal linking, meta optimization)
• Able to follow detailed SOPs while maintaining speed and accuracy
• Experience publishing via WordPress or website CMS
• Familiarity with SEO tools (GSC, Ahrefs, Keyword Planner) is a plus
• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and quality control before submission
• Independent, organized, and comfortable working in fast experimentation cycles
• Open to feedback and quick iteration
• Able to contribute ideas during brainstorming, but execution-driven by default
