Web Developer & SEO Tech

Salary: $3-$14 USD/hour

If you’re looking for a part-time, contract role helping a woman-owned, 12-year-old online marketing agency fix code issues and keep client websites running smoothly, this might be your dream gig.

We’re looking for a Web Developer & SEO Tech who can troubleshoot and fix web issues, ensure our clients’ sites are optimized for SEO performance, and help us deliver clean, functional, and fast-loading websites. This is not a full-time position and does not require full SEO management. Instead, you’ll be our go-to for web development fixes and minor technical SEO tweaks.

This Job is For You IF:
You enjoy problem-solving and making messy code clean
You’re confident with CSS, HTML, and custom code fixes
You like jumping into different WordPress site builders and figuring out what’s broken (and how to fix it)
You work well independently, but enjoy being part of a team
You’re comfortable taking direction and improving your skills over time
You’re open to guidance on SEO best practices from our in-house SEO lead

This Job is NOT for You IF:
You’re still learning the basics of HTML/CSS
You need daily instructions or handholding
You’re unfamiliar with WordPress or popular site builders
You’re looking for full-time work

The Following Qualifications are a Must:
Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS
WordPress CMS experience
Familiarity with page builders like Beaver Builder, Divi, Bricks (or at least one of them)
Ability to make code fixes that directly impact SEO performance (broken code, mobile responsiveness, header structure, etc.)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Comfortable working with a team via Slack and attending short check-ins via Zoom
You have a stable internet connection and are able to work meet/work during US Time Zone 3 PM Pacific to 7 PM Pacific at least once a week (overlap is a must)

The Following Qualifications are a Plus:
Experience with Technical SEO basics (e.g., Core Web Vitals, site speed fixes, crawlability, indexing issues)
Familiar with SEO tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, or Ubersuggest
Familiar with Asana
You love dogs ????

This is a part-time independent contractor role.

Hourly rate will be based on your level of experience. Range starts at $3 USD/hr and goes up to $14 USD/hr.
