SEO Specialist — AI-Savvy, CPA / Construction Website

Location: Philippines preferred — remote

Schedule: Part-time to full-time, with required overlap with U.S. Pacific time

We’re Basta & Company, a San Francisco–based CPA firm serving construction, real estate, and service-based businesses.

We’re hiring an SEO Specialist to help us grow our new website the right way.

We are not looking for spammy SEO tricks, cheap backlinks, or generic AI blog posts. We need someone who understands modern SEO, Google Search Console, technical SEO, local SEO, and how AI is changing search behavior.

This role is ideal for someone who can think strategically, execute consistently, and work closely with our marketing team.

What You’ll Work On

• SEO strategy for a CPA firm website
• Keyword research for construction, real estate, and small business owners
• On-page SEO for service pages and blog content
• Local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization
• Technical SEO audits and fixes
• Google Search Console review and reporting
• Internal linking strategy
• Content briefs for blog posts and landing pages
• Schema markup recommendations
• AI-assisted SEO workflows without producing generic, low-quality content
• Tracking rankings, traffic, clicks, impressions, and conversions

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience with SEO for service-based businesses
• Comfortable with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and keyword research tools
• Understanding of current Google updates and helpful-content principles
• Familiarity with AI search, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and how search behavior is changing
• Strong written English
• Good judgment around content quality, trust, and authority
• Ability to explain SEO recommendations clearly
• Experience with WordPress, Webflow, or similar website platforms is a plus
• Experience with professional services, accounting, real estate, construction, or finance is a strong plus

You Are Not a Fit If

• You rely only on backlinks
• You promise “first page ranking.”
• You produce mass AI-generated blog posts
• You cannot explain your SEO work clearly
• You do not use Google Search Console
• You prefer quick hacks over long-term strategy
