HIRING: E-Commerce SEO Specialist (Shopify) – Technical Cleanup & Ongoing Maintenance

About Us:

We are a growing e-commerce retailer specializing in automotive electrical supplies and 4×4 touring accessories in Australia. We are looking for a highly efficient, results-driven SEO Specialist to repair our site’s technical foundation and maintain our catalog.

The Structure:

We are hiring for this role in two distinct phases:

Phase 1 (Project-Based): A flat-fee project to clean up our current backlog of technical and on-page errors.

Phase 2 (Monthly Retainer): A transition to an ongoing, set-rate monthly maintenance plan once the site is healthy.

Phase 1 Scope of Work:

Resolve technical on-page errors (including fixing orphan pages).

– Bulk-optimize and update missing image alt texts.

– Write and implement optimized meta descriptions for unoptimized products.

– Correct poor internal linking structures and implement proper 301 redirects for deleted/discontinued products.

Phase 2 Scope of Work (Monthly Maintenance):

– Optimize new products, categories, and collections as they are added to the store.

– Provide a brief monthly report highlighting completed work and changes in organic traffic/sales (no automated audit exports without action).

Requirements:

– Proven experience specifically with Shopify SEO and large e-commerce catalogs.

– Up-to-date with AI tools: You must know how to leverage modern AI tools to efficiently bulk-generate high-quality meta descriptions, alt text, and basic content.

– Strong understanding of e-commerce metrics (Conversion Rates, ROAS) and how technical SEO impacts paid ads.
