
We are seeking a highly analytical, strategic, and results-driven eCommerce SEO Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead and execute search engine optimization initiatives that drive qualified organic traffic, increase search engine rankings, and improve user engagement across all digital platforms. This role will collaborate with content creators, developers, and marketers to implement both technical and content-focused SEO best practices.
This role goes beyond executionit’s about ownership, mentorship, and driving results. The ideal candidate is the go-to expert in all things SEOable to lead strategy, train and upskill team members, and ensure we stay ahead in an ever-evolving search landscape. This role is both strategic and hands-on, working closely with cross-functional teams to maximize visibility, engagement, and ROI.

DAILY TASKS
Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive SEO strategies that align with business objectives.
Lead and Conduct regular audits and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities and gaps.
Set, monitor, and report on KPIs such as organic traffic, keyword rankings, bounce rates, and conversions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to align SEO with business goals and customer intent.
Mentor, coach, and train junior specialists and content teams on SEO best practices.
Stay updated on the latest algorithm changes and emerging SEO tools/trends.
Guide keyword research, clustering, and intent mapping for content and product teams.
Develop high-performing content strategies grounded in search insights.
Work closely with account managers and project managers to align on timelines, priorities, and client expectations.
Translate technical SEO concepts into clear, actionable insights for clients
Ensure optimal on-page execution: meta tags, headings, internal linking, content quality, etc.
Lead technical audits to resolve crawl issues, improve site speed, and optimize site architecture.
Partner with dev teams to implement structured data, fix indexation issues, and enhance mobile usability.
Maintain robust XML sitemaps, robots.txt, canonical tags, and schema markups.
Manage scalable and ethical link-building strategies (outreach, guest posting, digital PR).
Monitor and improve backlink profiles while disavowing harmful links.
Leverage tools like GA4, GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Data Studio to track performance and deliver actionable reports.
Present findings and opportunities to marketing leadership with clear strategic impact.
Present actionable insights to stakeholders with clarity and strategic direction.
Contribute to the companys growth roadmap by identifying long-term organic opportunities.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Expert-level understanding of all SEO disciplines (technical, on-page, off-page).
At least 1 year in a leadership or client-facing role.
Proficiency in SEO tools: Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Screaming Frog, etc.
Strong command of Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS, CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify), and schema markup is a plus.
Familiarity with PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix, or Core Web Vitals monitoring.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and algorithm changes.
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, IT, or any related field is preferred.
