What your days might look like

You’ll be assisting the fast organic growth across a key product in the UK. You’ll be on an agile squad team focused on bringing a core product to market and driving adoption and growth for this area of the business at the top of the funnel.

We’re looking for someone to roll up their sleeves and get things done. The ideal candidate will possess 70% analytical/problem solving skills, and 30% creative/copywriting skills.

In this role you will be responsible for assisting our Head of UK Marketing and Global Website & SEO Lead and other digital growth specialists get stuck in the SEO campaigns and tools to make improvements that result in scalable organic growth. Ideally we are looking for someone who is both passionate and driven by all things SEO, content and growth. Although the role sits within the Growth team, you will also have the opportunity to work on projects within the wider marketing team, gaining experience with a range of different marketing initiatives.

Working with the wider team, the successful candidate will play a key role in not only the success of the marketing team, but the success of Employment Hero in the UK.

As an SEO Manager, you will:

  • Own the growth of their SEO product channel – work with the Website & Organic Growth Lead to execute the delivery of the SEO strategy including onsite, technical and offsite factors.
  • Conduct regular audits of our websites in order to diagnose technical SEO issues and find solutions to improve rankings, traffic and lead conversions.
  • Coordinate and execute the implementation of SEO recommendations, managing and liaising with freelancers and suppliers to make site changes and improvements.
  • Create new systems and processes to automate SEO tasks and projects including audits, keyword research, site crawls, backlink acquisition and their implementation plans.
  • Write and optimise content for SEO
  • Work with our content and brand team to brainstorm new content ideas, conduct keyword research, produce content briefs and optimise content for SEO.
  • Create new landing pages that are SEO optimised and work with design and CRO to ensure best UX/UI/conversion principles are followed.
  • Coordinate backlink outreach including prospecting and building relationships with content editors to reclaim lost and build new links, as well as managing and editing incoming guest posts.
  • Assist with weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Regularly monitor Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs and SEMRush for traffic fluctuations and insights.
  • Keep an eye on new and upcoming SEO trends, Google Algorithm updates, platforms and platform features to drive strategy.
  • Bonus if they have knowledge of HTML, CSS and JS.

What you will bring

  • Degree qualified in Business, Science, Marketing, Computer Science (Technical degrees are welcome too)
  • Ideally you have 3-5 years experience in SEO, content marketing or related professional environment but we will consider recent grads with strong interest in SEO – Agency or SaaS/marketplace experience highly valued
  • Knowledge of Sanity.io,, WordPress, AI writing tools, SGE, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, Google Looker Studio, Ahrefs or SEMRush
  • A creative problem solver and critical thinker, with great attention to detail
  • Proactive and takes initiative when solving problems and finding new solutions
  • Thinks outside the box, and enjoys finding ways to make processes more efficient, through automation
  • Have a strong understanding of audiences and how to craft and create content that will grab their attention
  • Experience in both B2B and B2C content creation is a plus
  • A very strong communicator, who is not afraid to communicate with stakeholders in order to come up with the best solution.
  • Ability to identify key metrics, report on results, and pivot as needed
  • Comfortable and confident explaining your ideas, taking briefs, and participating in brainstorming sessions
  • Able to work independently and to agreed deadlines
  • Feeling confident deep-diving into the data and taking a data-driven approach to decisions
  • Must enjoy writing, editing and optimising content
  • Data literate and comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets
  • Fluent in other languages: Bahasa Melayu and/or Mandarin a plus!
