Penji
SEO MANAGER WANTED: DON’T JUST CHASE RANKINGS. DRIVE ORGANIC GROWTH.
100% REMOTE | FULL-TIME | MONDAY–FRIDAY | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM PHT
Can you turn search data into a strategy that drives traffic, builds authority, and delivers measurable business results?
Do you know how to identify ranking opportunities, fix technical SEO issues, build content strategies, earn quality backlinks, and turn insights into action?
Then we want to hear from you.
Penji is looking for an experienced SEO Manager who can own our SEO strategy from planning to execution—and turn organic search into a real growth engine.
We’re not looking for someone who simply checks rankings, adds keywords, or runs SEO reports.
We need a hands-on SEO professional who understands the bigger picture, knows how to prioritize opportunities, and can connect technical SEO, content, link acquisition, and analytics to measurable results.
If you know how to move beyond SEO theory and make things happen, this opportunity is for you.
YOUR MISSION: TURN SEARCH OPPORTUNITIES INTO GROWTH
As our SEO Manager, you’ll take ownership of Penji’s SEO roadmap, identify opportunities for improvement, execute strategies, and use performance data to guide decisions.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
1. BUILD THE SEO STRATEGY
Develop and execute Penji’s overall SEO strategy and roadmap.
Identify high-value keyword opportunities through keyword research, competitor analysis, and search-intent analysis.
Build keyword maps, content plans, and strategies to strengthen topical authority.
Prioritize initiatives based on business impact, search opportunities, and measurable outcomes.
2. MASTER ON-PAGE & CONTENT SEO
Optimize titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links, content structure, and other on-page elements.
Develop content strategies aligned with search intent and business objectives.
Work closely with writers and the content team to create, optimize, and improve SEO-driven content.
Identify content gaps, refresh underperforming pages, and uncover opportunities to improve organic visibility.
3. GET TECHNICAL SEO RIGHT
Conduct technical SEO audits and identify issues affecting crawling, indexing, site architecture, redirects, and site performance.
Translate audit findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
Work with relevant team members to resolve technical issues and improve website health.
Monitor technical performance and proactively identify potential problems.
4. BUILD AUTHORITY THROUGH LINK ACQUISITION
Develop and oversee link-building and digital PR strategies.
Identify opportunities to acquire relevant, high-quality backlinks.
Evaluate backlink profiles and competitor link strategies.
Focus on sustainable authority-building practices that support long-term organic growth.
5. TURN DATA INTO DECISIONS
Monitor organic traffic, keyword rankings, conversions, and other SEO KPIs.
Use Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Ahrefs, Semrush, and other relevant tools to evaluate performance.
Identify what’s working, what’s underperforming, and what needs to change.
Prepare clear SEO reports with meaningful insights, priorities, and recommended actions.
Continuously test, measure, and refine strategies based on actual performance.
6. STAY AHEAD OF THE SEARCH LANDSCAPE
Monitor competitors, search trends, and emerging opportunities.
Stay informed about Google algorithm updates and SEO industry developments.
Adapt strategies based on changing search behavior, website performance, and business priorities.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
At least 3 years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably managing campaigns in competitive search markets.
A proven track record of improving organic traffic, search rankings, qualified leads, or conversions.
Experience developing and executing SEO strategies—not just following predefined instructions.
Strong knowledge of technical SEO, on-page SEO, off-page SEO, content SEO, keyword research, and link acquisition.
A solid understanding of search intent, keyword clustering, topical authority, internal linking, and content optimization.
Practical experience using Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics 4.
Experience collaborating with content teams, writers, developers, or digital marketing professionals.
YOUR APPROACH
Analytical, strategic, and results-oriented.
Capable of turning complex SEO findings into practical action plans.
Proactive in identifying opportunities and solving problems.
Organized, detail-oriented, and accountable for deliverables.
Comfortable working independently and managing priorities.
An excellent English communicator who can explain SEO insights clearly.
IMPORTANT: SHOW US WHAT YOU’VE ACTUALLY DONE
SEO EXPERIENCE IS NOT ENOUGH. WE NEED EVIDENCE OF EXECUTION.
We are not looking for someone who only understands SEO terminology, has completed SEO courses, or knows how to generate reports.
We need someone who can demonstrate real-world SEO experience, explain the strategies they implemented, and show how their work contributed to measurable results.
Your application must include recent, verifiable SEO work from the last six working months.
Please be prepared to provide:
Recent SEO projects: Websites or campaigns you completed or actively managed.
Case studies: A brief explanation of the SEO challenge, your strategy, the actions you implemented, and the results.
Performance evidence: Relevant metrics, reports, screenshots, or other supporting documentation, where available.
SEO tools: The platforms you have used and how you applied them in your work.
We value candidates who can explain not only what they did, but also why they did it and how they measured success.
Applications without relevant hands-on experience and recent work samples may not be considered.
