💼 What You’ll Be Doing
Get Me Links is an SEO and link-building agency that partners with digital marketing agencies, and we’re building new services to grow beyond what we offer today. This is not a client SEO role: you won’t run campaigns for individual clients. You’ll own our off-page SEO operations and build the ones that don’t exist yet, then keep them running well. You’ll design new services, prove they work, turn them into processes a team can run, and maintain their quality over time. Link building is your core strength, and you bring a full understanding of SEO, so you can help build services across the whole picture.
Some examples of what we want to build:
New types of link building beyond what we offer today
Our own sites for link placement
Buying expired and auction domains, then restoring them
Link exchange programs run at scale
Your day-to-day:
Build new services: find and design new SEO services we can sell and deliver
Expand our offer: turn opportunities in Local SEO, GEO, AI visibility, listicles and Digital PR into services we can deliver at scale
Grow the publisher network: build strong publisher relationships, negotiate prices, and run outreach at scale
Protect link quality: set vetting standards that go beyond DR and traffic, and keep risky or spammy sites out of our network
Shape link strategy: define best practice for anchor text mix, link velocity, relevance and target page selection
Audit and analyze: run backlink audits and competitor link gap analysis to find new opportunities
Apply the full SEO picture: work with our Director of Service Operations to bring on-page and technical knowledge (site speed, keyword targeting, site health) into how we vet sites and shape new services
Set content standards: define briefs and quality bars for placement content, including how to spot low-quality AI content
Systemize: turn each service into a repeatable process with SOPs and quality checks
Train the people who run those services
Maintain: monitor quality and results, fix what breaks, and update processes as SEO changes
Measure: track links that stay live and get indexed, how long they last, and their impact on rankings and AI visibility
Bring the outside in: share new SEO knowledge so the whole team grows past what we already know
🧬 Who You Are
An SEO manager who lives and breathes link building.
You look at a publisher site and immediately see the spam signals, the link farm footprints, or the traffic that isn’t real, and you can explain why. You’re savvy on how to get links that actually help: velocity, relevance, anchor text and the right tools. You also understand the full spectrum of SEO, so you know a slow site or poor keyword targeting can undermine a great link. You don’t just run a playbook, you build one: you take a new idea, test it, prove it works, and turn it into a process a team can follow. You have strong opinions on SEO and can defend them, and you have the discipline to work within agreed standards once a decision is made. You keep up with algorithm changes because you want to.
✅ Requirements
Deep, hands-on SEO experience, with real strength in off-page and link building
A proven record of publisher outreach and relationship building at scale
A sharp eye for link quality and risk: spam signals, link farms, Google spam policies, toxic links, disavow and penalty recovery
Solid working knowledge of on-page and technical SEO (site speed, keyword targeting, site health), enough to judge site quality and help shape new services
Working knowledge across the wider SEO landscape: guest posts, niche edits and brand mentions, listicles, GEO, AI visibility, Digital PR, Local SEO and backlink audits
Experience with domain auctions, expired domain vetting and site restoration
Hands-on skill with Ahrefs and Semrush, plus outreach tools such as Pitchbox, BuzzStream or Hunter
Proof that you have built a service or process from scratch and kept it running well over time
Experience leading or training a team
Reliable internet and availability for the required overlap hours
🔥 Bonus Points If You…
Have an agency or link-selling background
Have experience with domain marketplaces and expired domain tools
Are comfortable with numbers: cost per link, margins and capacity planning
🎯 Your First 90 Days
In your first 90 days, you will:
Learn our current services, publisher network and quality standards
Audit our off-page processes and present your top improvement opportunities
Propose at least one new service with a clear plan, cost model and SOP
Launch that service as a pilot, with a team trained to run it
📝 How We’ll Choose
We want to see the work, not just talk about it, so every applicant goes through the same steps:
1. Application + portfolio. For two or three services, processes or link projects you built, tell us what you made and what your role was, how it performed (links live, indexed, retention, rankings, margins), and what you learned and would do differently.
2. First interview with MJ, our Head of Operations. A conversation about your experience, how you vet link quality, your grasp of on-page and technical SEO basics, and how you turn an idea into a process a team can run.
3. Final interview with our CEO and COO. A deeper conversation on how you would build and pilot a new service, and how you work within agreed standards.
