Job Overview:

Ad Genius is looking for a dynamic SEO Specialist to join our team and spearhead strategies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality SEO services that boost our clients’ online presence and drive their digital success. The ideal candidate will have extensive SEO knowledge, real-world experience, and a proven track record in both strategic and technical aspects of SEO.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership and Execution: Design and oversee the implementation of comprehensive SEO strategies to enhance organic search results across multiple client projects. Ensure these strategies align with the latest search engine guidelines and best practices.
  • Advanced Keyword Research: Perform sophisticated keyword research and analysis to develop strategies that target optimal keywords, maximizing the relevance and reach of our client’s content.
  • Google Business Profile Optimization: Skilled in enhancing Google Business Profiles, with a strong understanding of local SEO tactics. This includes managing online reputation through Google Reviews, utilizing geotagging for photos to strengthen local signals to Google, and adhering to effective posting protocols and updates to optimize GBP visibility and performance.
  • Content Supervision: Oversee the creation of engaging, high-quality content optimized for SEO. Ensure content is manually produced without the use of AI-generated text, adhering strictly to current SEO standards.
  • SEO Copywriting: Responsible for crafting compelling SEO-friendly copy for website content, landing pages, product descriptions, and blog posts, engaging and converting target audiences while complying with SEO best practices.
  • Technical SEO Enhancements: Lead technical SEO improvements on client websites, focusing on tasks such as optimizing schema markup, implementing structured data, and enhancing XML sitemaps to meet and exceed search engine requirements.
  • SEO Audits and Reporting: Conduct detailed SEO audits and utilize analytics tools to monitor, adjust, and report on the performance of SEO campaigns. Tools like Ahrefs and SEMRush are used for tracking rankings, backlink analysis, and performing technical site audits. Provide comprehensive feedback and actionable insights based on data-driven analysis.
  • Documentation and Process Standardization: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), agency recipes, and checklists to ensure consistent and successful replication of SEO practices across all client projects. Regularly update these documents to reflect the latest SEO trends and best practices.
  • Organization and Self-Management: Exhibit exceptional organizational skills and efficiency, with the ability to work independently to fulfill all position requirements and drive client success. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain high performance without direct supervision.
  • Continuing Education: Engage in ongoing education through self-paced and agency-directed courses, including partnerships with educational platforms or specific courses such as Google certifications and industry conferences, to remain proactive in SEO strategy development and execution.
  • Client Engagement: Although not primarily client-facing, prepare detailed reports and video overviews that communicate SEO progress and insights in non-technical terms, typically submitted through digital channels. These should be easily understandable to clients, helping them appreciate the strategic value and ROI of SEO initiatives.
  • Agency Collaboration and Participation: Actively collaborate with the broader agency team, participating in all scheduled and impromptu meetings during business hours. Proficiency in virtual collaboration tools like Zoom and Microsoft Teams is expected. Contribute constructively to discussions, sharing insights, and integrating feedback to enhance overall marketing strategies and operational efficiency. Your involvement in these meetings is crucial for aligning SEO efforts with the agency’s goals and for fostering a unified approach to client success.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
  • At least three years of experience in SEO employed by a marketing agency.
  • Demonstrable success and expertise in developing and executing SEO strategies.
  • Strong proficiency with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMRush, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing clear and precise content creation.
  • A dedicated, private workspace with a personal computer and reliable high-speed internet connection must be suitable for remote work and video conferencing.

Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency with WordPress CMS.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and awareness of the implications of web development on SEO.
  • Familiarity with Slack, Zoom, Asana, Loom, and other project management and communication tools.

Work Environment:

This full-time remote position requires availability during standard working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Arizona time, Monday through Friday. Employees must be readily available for scheduled and impromptu meetings during these hours. Effective and responsive communication via instant messaging is also expected throughout the workday. 

We respect work-life balance; therefore, no communication is required or expected after hours or during weekends.

Compensation:

  • Competitive Salary: Offered commensurate with experience, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
  • Performance Incentives: Eligible for financial bonuses and/or additional days off based on performance metrics and client retention rates.
  • Paid Holidays: Includes scheduled agency closure days, ensuring time off during major holidays.
  • Paid Time Off: Employees accrue personal and vacation days after three months. These days accumulate over time, allowing you to take paid time off as you earn it.
