AEO / SEO Content Optimisation

We are an Australian-based business looking for a reliable, detail-oriented AEO / SEO Content Optimisation Assistant with very strong written English to help optimise our website, publications and digital assets for search engines and AI-powered answer engines.

This is a process-driven implementation role. You will use ChatGPT together with our documented processes to update onsite metadata, improve content structure and help make every page and publication clear and accessible to search-engine and AI crawlers.

The role is NOT primarily focused on developing a new marketing strategy. We are looking for someone who can apply sound SEO and AEO knowledge while following our specific systems accurately and consistently.

For the right person, there is long-term potential, including the opportunity to move into a permanent role.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
– Using ChatGPT to follow our documented SEO and AEO optimisation processes.
– Updating page titles, meta descriptions, headings, image alt text and other onsite metadata across our WordPress website and publications.
– Optimising content and page structure to improve visibility in Google, AI-powered answer engines and search crawlers.
– Updating metadata for YouTube, Vimeo and other digital assets to maximise discoverability.
– Assisting with schema markup and other structured data in line with our documented processes
– Working accurately within live websites and content management systems.
– Recording completed work, following documented procedures, and communicating promptly if instructions are unclear.

THIS ROLE IS A GOOD FIT IF YOU
· Have excellent written English
· Have practical, hands-on experience with onsite SEO.
· Understand Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO), AI search visibility or how content is surfaced in tools such as ChatGPT and other AI-powered search platforms.
· Use ChatGPT confidently and can follow specific prompts, templates and processes rather than relying only on generic outputs.
· Have experience updating WordPress websites.
· Understand page titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links, alt text and other core onsite SEO elements.
· Can assess content carefully without making unsupported assumptions or unnecessary changes.
· Are accurate, organised, dependable and comfortable completing detailed optimisation work.
· Can follow step-by-step instructions exactly and double-check your work.
· Communicate clearly when something is unclear rather than guessing.
· Are comfortable with agreed work hours, time tracking and occasional screen-share check-ins during working hours.
· Have a reliable computer, a professional home-working setup and stable internet.

THIS ROLE IS NOT SUITABLE IF YOU:
· Are completely new to SEO and have no practical website optimisation experience.
· Have never used ChatGPT or other AI tools professionally.
· Prefer unstructured work or regularly change instructions without approval.
· Are primarily seeking a high-level strategy or consulting role rather than a hands-on implementation role.
· Dislike accountability, time tracking, feedback or quality checks.
· Intend to outsource or subcontract our work to another person.
· Are an agency applying while presenting yourself as an individual contractor.

Important: The work must be completed personally by the successful applicant. Subcontracting or outsourcing the role IS NOT PERMITTED and WILL result in immediate termination of the engagement.

WORKING ARRANGEMENT
· Remote role for applicants based in the Philippines.
· Supporting an Australian team.
· 16 hours per week.
· Up to PHP 400 per hour, subject to demonstrated experience and capability.
· Long-term and potentially permanent opportunity for the right person.
· Work will be completed during agreed hours with online time tracking and occasional live check-ins.
