Effeect is hiring an Off-Page SEO Manager to own and execute all off-page SEO efforts across our portfolio of brands. This is a critical role responsible for authority growth, backlink strategy, outreach, AI citation visibility, and risk-managed link acquisition.
You will be the final owner of how our brands earn, buy, exchange, and protect links—ensuring sustainable growth while staying ahead of algorithm and AI-search shifts.
Off-Page SEO Strategy
- Design and execute the complete off-page SEO strategy for each brand.
- Plan monthly and quarterly backlink acquisition targets aligned with SEO goals.
- Manage link velocity, anchor distribution, domain diversity, and relevance.
Link Building & Authority Growth
- Editorial and contextual backlinks
- Guest posting and digital PR placements
- Paid links (with strict quality control)
- Link exchanges and partnerships
- Brand mentions and unlinked mention reclamation
- Maintain a vetted database of high-quality publishers and partners.
Content-Driven Link Strategy
- Work with Content & SEO teams to design linkable assets (data studies, tools, resources).
- Brief writers and researchers on content built specifically to earn backlinks.
- Coordinate outreach campaigns around newly published assets.
AI Citations & Search Visibility
- Develop and execute AI citation strategies to ensure brand visibility across AI-driven search results and answer engines.
- Secure authoritative mentions that improve trust signals for AI indexing and retrieval.
- Monitor brand references in AI-generated results and optimize accordingly.
SEO Outreach & Relationship Management
- Lead all outreach efforts to publishers, journalists, bloggers, and site owners.
- Build long-term relationships for recurring placements and partnerships.
- Negotiate placements, pricing, and terms for paid or exchange-based links.
Risk Management & Quality Control
- Monitor backlink profiles weekly for toxicity, spam signals, and unnatural patterns.
- Manage disavows and penalty-prevention processes.
- Ensure compliance with safe anchor-text ratios and link diversity standards.
Reporting & Optimization
- Own off-page SEO dashboards and reporting.
- Track referring domains, DR growth, authority metrics, and ROI.
- Analyze campaign performance and continuously refine strategies.
Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years in off-page SEO, link building, or digital PR.
Proven Results: Demonstrated authority growth for competitive domains.
Expertise In:
- Advanced link-building tactics (earned, paid, and hybrid)
- Outreach systems and publisher negotiations
- Anchor text strategy and penalty avoidance
- SEO tools (Ahrefs, Semrush, Majestic, GSC)
- Mindset: Strategic, detail-oriented, aggressive on growth but disciplined on risk.
